Postoperative video debriefing reduces technical errors in laparoscopic surgery.

The researchers videotaped surgical residents as they performed a complex laparoscopic procedure and conducted a postoperative debriefing with half of the residents. They found that adverse events from technical errors were more likely in the group that was not debriefed.
