This study reviewed data on 11,687 patients to explore the relationship between suboptimal kidney function and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in older inpatients. Hydrosoluble medications, including diuretics, digitalis, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and hypoglycemic agents, posed the greatest risk of ADRs to this patient population.
