WHO Patient Safety.
Reducing accidents and the risk of error requires a significant and sustained response at national and global levels. With this in mind, the World Health Organization and its partners launched the World Alliance for Patient Safety in October 2004 to advance the goal of "first, do no harm" and reduce the number of patient illness, injuries, and death. This website provides access to a range of initiatives launched since then, such as the Medication Without Harm challenge, and organizational policies, strategies, and partnerships, including the Global Patient Safety Collaborative.
