These researchers reviewed 839 publicly available posts on Twitter that mentioned a possible patient safety error. Nearly half of the tweets included an emotional response such as anger, frustration, humor, sadness, or grief. The authors conclude that Twitter may be a useful data source for obtaining patient perspectives on medical errors.
