Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning can help clinicians integrate data into clinical processes to improve decision-making, diagnosis, and patient safety. This commentary suggests that concerns about AI replacing physicians are unfounded and instead that changes in practice resulting from the effective use of AI could improve worldwide access to safe, effective care.
