Diagnostic pitfalls in paediatric ischaemic stroke.

The researchers analyzed case histories of children affected by stroke and found the condition was frequently not initially recognized as the cause of symptoms. They suggest that specialized centers familiar with pediatric stroke and standardized diagnostic procedures should be used.
